We exist to equip marginalized young women through the hope of the gospel and artisanal training.
Sifa Threads is located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It was formed by women for women. We have seen God's hand move in miraculous ways in the lives of our students and in provision for continuing Sifa Threads. From our small beginnings in various garages God has now provided us with a home to call our own. This home acts as our workshop, training center, office and shop. It will also be used as short term housing for our girls in the greatest need of protection.
When asked how young women feel living in poverty, these are the words spoken by our girls in Sifa Threads. Transformation takes place in our Sifa Threads program when a young woman no longer feels voiceless and lost in poverty but has found her identity and hope in Christ. Watching this transformation take place is our greatest joy within this project.

Style & Quality
We use tanzanian textiles and up-cycled fabrics for each one-of-a-kind product designed together by our staff and young women. We describe our designs as "afropologie" or african style with a western twist.
Each product sold by Sifa Threads is hand-made by the young women in our two-year Sifa Threads program. Items will vary as each one is made by hand.
100% of sales go directly back to Sifa Threads. Sifa Threads is under the non-profit MANNA Worldwide and is a collaboration of MANNA, and the mission organizations of the BBMT and ABWE.
